PMA autua 12 por infrações ambientais e aplica R$ 91 mil em multas durante operação Independência

A Polícia Militar Ambiental (PMA), desde às 8h do dia 6 de setembro até às 7h30 desta segunda-feira (10.9), realizou a operação Independência, com encerramento que envolveu 312 policiais. Como em operações anteriores, nos feriados prolongados, todo o efetivo administrativo foi utilizado na Operação.

Nos meses de setembro e outubro é comum o aumento de turistas de fora e a própria população do Estado nos rios praticando pesca, especialmente, em feriados prolongados. O aumento dos pescadores não se dá somente por ser os últimos meses de pesca aberta, mas porque os cardumes já começaram a se formar para a Piracema – a palavra vem do tupi e significa “subida do peixe”; o fenômeno recebe esse nome porque, todos os anos, eles nadam rio acima para realizar a desova – e a captura é mais fácil. Em razão disso, é comum e importante a PMA manter o patrulhamento reforçado, com a finalidade de se prevenir a pesca predatória.

Durante a Operação, atenção especial também foi dada à prevenção ao crime de tráfico de animais silvestres, em virtude deste período crítico relativo ao tráfico de papagaios. Este é um período preocupante para a PMA com relação ao tráfico de animais silvestres, pois, de agosto a dezembro é o período de reprodução do papagaio que é a espécie mais traficada no Estado.

Equipes realizaram trabalhos preventivos em propriedades rurais na região principal do problema, que é a situada nos municípios de Jateí, Batayporã, Bataguassu, Ivinhema, Novo Horizonte do Sul, Anaurilândia, Santa Rita do Pardo, Nova Andradina, Brasilândia, Naviraí e Mundo Novo.

Com relação à prevenção à pesca predatória, atenção especial foi dada na região da divisa com o estado de Mato Grosso, nos rios Correntes, Piquiri, São Lourenço e Paraguai, que devido a grande distância, pescadores costumam praticar pesca predatória. Equipes de Coxim autuaram cinco por pesca predatória nessa região durante a Operação.

Números

A operação Independência foi sensivelmente mais tranqüila se comparada com o ano passado. Foram autuadas 12 pessoas por infrações ambientais, contra 27 autuados em 2017. Das 12 ocorrências, oito foram por pesca, enquanto que na anterior fechou em 18. Não houve nenhuma infração por pesca predatória e, em 2017, foram 10 pessoas presas por este crime. Foram oito pessoas autuadas por infração de pesca por falta de licença, o que não é crime, mesmo número de 2017. Em relação ao pescado, 30 kg foram apreendidos este ano e 39 kg no ano passado, demonstrando a eficiência preventiva da fiscalização.

Caça

Com relação à caça ilegal, apenas uma pessoa foi presa, quando se dirigia para praticar a caça. Em 2017 este número chegou a seis presos, sendo apreendidos quatro animais silvestres e 7,5 kg de carne, além de seis armas de fogo ilegais utilizadas nas caçadas.

Desmatamento e erosões

Um proprietário rural foi autuado por degradações por erosões na propriedade, devido à falta de cuidados com a conservação do solo, semelhante à Operação passada. Um fazendeiro foi autuado por desmatamento ilegal. Em 2017, duas pessoas foram autuadas por desmatamento de Área Protegida de Preservação Permanente (APP) de matas ciliares de córregos.

Este ano foi aplicado um valor total de R$ 90.872,80 em multas enquanto que em 2017 o montante chegou a R$ 70.225,00. Com relação aos petrechos de pesca apreendidos, as apreensões foram dentro do que se costuma apreender em operações em feriados prolongados.

Por crimes de natureza adversa à ambiental, uma pessoa foi presa por porte ilegal de um rifle. Na Operação passada uma pessoa também foi presa pelo mesmo crime.
