A bandeira tarifária de energia elétrica para o mês de agosto é vermelha (patamar 2) com custo de R$ 5 a cada 100 kWh (quilowatts-hora) consumidos.

Conforme a Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica (Aneel), a manutenção da cor da bandeira deve-se ao prosseguimento das condições hidrológicas desfavoráveis e à redução no nível de armazenamento dos principais reservatórios do Sistema Interligado Nacional (SIN).
