Prazo para inscrição no Fies é prorrogado para esta terça-feira

O prazo para inscrição no Fundo de Financiamento Estudantil (Fies) para vagas no segundo semestre deste ano ano foi prorrogado até as 23h59 desta terça-feira (24). As inscrições devem ser feitas na página do Fies na internet.

Com a extensão do prazo, o resultado da seleção do Fies será divulgado no dia 30 deste mês, em chamada única, e não mais no dia 27. Os candidatos pré-selecionados deverão complementar as informações da inscrição do dia 30 deste mês até 3 de agosto e, em seguida, fechar a contratação do financiamento.

Nesta edição do Fies, estão sendo ofertadas pelo menos 155 mil vagas, das quais 50 mil com juro zero.

Pode concorrer às vagas quem fez uma das edições do Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (Enem) a partir de 2010, teve média igual ou superior a 450 pontos e não tirou zero na redação. O Fies concede financiamento a estudantes em cursos superiores de instituições privadas que tenham avaliação positiva do Ministério da Educação (MEC).

De acordo com o MEC, o prazo de inscrição foi prorrogado porque o Departamento de Tecnologia da Informação do ministério identificou problemas no sistema no dia seguinte ao início das inscrições. A falha foi corrigida, e os estudantes atingidos foram comunicados, mas o MEC decidiu ampliar o prazo para que ninguém fosse prejudicado.

Modalidades

O novo Fies tem modalidades de acordo com a renda familiar do candidato. A que tem juro zero destina-se a candidatos com renda mensal familiar per capita de até três salários mínimos (R$ 2.862). Nesse caso, o financiamento mínimo é 50% do curso, e o limite máximo semestralde R$ 42 mil.

A modalidade chamada de P-Fies é para candidatos com renda familiar per capitaentre três (R$ 2.862) e cinco salários mínimos (R$ 4.770). Nesse caso, o financiamento é feito por condições definidas pelo agente financeiro operador de crédito, que pode ser um banco privado ou fundos constitucionais e de desenvolvimento.
