O avião da Força Aérea Brasileira transportando ajuda humanitária à Venezuela, que decolou na manhã de hoje (22) da Base Aérea de Brasília, pousou há pouco em Boa Vista, capital do estado de Roraima. A aeronave transporta 23 toneladas de leite em pó e 500 kits de primeiros socorros.

O porta-voz da Presidência, Otávio do Rêgo Barros, disse nessa quinta-feira (21), em entrevista á imprensa, no Palácio do Planalto, que o Brasil manterá o planejamento de ajuda humanitária à Venezuela, mesmo após o presidente venezuelano, Nicolás Maduro, anunciar o fechamento da fronteira. Segundo o porta-voz, a estimativa é fazer chegar à região fronteiriça alimentos e remédios neste sábado (23).

“O planejamento da parte do governo brasileiro permanece o mesmo, estando em condições, a partir do dia 23, sábado, para prover os irmãos venezuelanos dentro do território venezuelano se houver a disponibilidade de meios e motoristas por parte dos venezuelanos liderados pelo Guaidó (Juan Guaidó, presidente interino)”, disse Rêgo Barros.

Segundo o porta-voz, a disposição do Brasil aguarda a chegada dos caminhões vindos da Venezuela, conduzidos por venezuelanos, mesmo que isso demore mais que o previsto.

Rêgo Barros disse que não há risco dos alimentos e remédios estragarem em depósitos de Boa Vista, em Roraima, à espera da abertura da fronteira. “O tempo dos medicamentos e alimentos que estamos levando tem um prazo de validade bastante alongado. Dois, três meses [estocados] não nos preocupa.”
