Andrezão, como é chamado pela equipe, começou perdendo o primeiro set, por 2×0, recuperando e empatando o jogo no segundo tempo. O desportista dominou o terceiro e quarto set, vencendo de virada o adversário, garantindo o título de Campeão Brasileiro 2018.

O jogador de bocha venceu o Campeonato Brasileiro em 2014 e conquistou o bicampeonato com uma campanha indiscutível, onde venceu na semifinal pelo placar de 8×2, o campeão Brasileiro de 2017 e medalhista de ouro no último Parapan, Jose Carlos da Adefu de Uberaba.
