Começa nesta sexta-feira (19) em Ribas do Rio Pardo mais uma fase dos Jogos Escolares e da Juventude, desta vez, nas modalidades do badminton, ciclismo, tênis de mesa e vôlei de praia. A cerimônia de abertura dos jogos acontecerá a partir das 19h30 no Ginásio Poliesportivo José Miguel Sanches Vigilato (Rua Argeu Silveira Lima, 1288 – Vila Nova) no município localizado a 90km de Campo Grande. E no sábado (20) acontece na Capital, a seletiva estadual da ginástica rítmica e do xadrez. As disputas acontecerão no Rádio Clube
Campo e no Eco Hotel do Lago, ambas às 8h, respectivamente.
Em Ribas, os jogos começam efetivamente no sábado (20) às 8h em quatro locais: as competições do badminton serão realizadas no Ginásio Poliesportivo José Miguel Sanches Vigilato, a largada do ciclismo acontecerá na Praça Parque dos Ipês, as partidas de tênis de mesa acontecerão no Ginásio Izael Passara e o torneio de vôlei de praia ocorrerá no Clube Agro-Rio na BR 262, o evento será realizado simultaneamente nos três períodos e vai até domingo (21).
Alunos-atletas entre 12 a 17 anos participarão da disputa que definirá os representantes do Estado de Mato Grosso do Sul nos Jogos Escolares da Juventude Etapa Nacional.
A seletiva estadual do JEMS e JOJUMS modalidades individuais é realizada pela Fundação de Desporto e Lazer de Mato Grosso do Sul (Fundesporte) em parceria com a Prefeitura Municipal de Ribas do Rio Pardo.
Etapa Nacional
Cerca de 6 mil atletas, de 26 estados brasileiros mais o Distrito Federal participarão da Etapa Nacional dos Jogos Escolares da Juventude (JEJ) entre os dias 12 a 25 de novembro em Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. Além das quatro coletivas, atletismo, badminton, ciclismo, ginástica rítmica, judô, natação, tênis de mesa, vôlei de praia (apenas na categoria 15 a 17 anos), xadrez e wrestling, completam a programação esportiva.
