A Polícia Militar Ambiental (PMA) encerrou nesta segunda-feira (15.10), às 8h, a operação Padroeira do Brasil, iniciada no dia (10.10), às 12h, contando com efetivo de 362 homens. A PMA deu prioridade à prevenção e repressão à pesca predatória e ao tráfico de papagaios.
A fiscalização à pesca já vinha sendo reforçada, desde o dia 1º de outubro, quando a Polícia Militar Ambiental iniciou a operação Pré-piracema de reforço à fiscalização nos rios de Mato Grosso do Sul, tendo em vista a proximidade do período de defeso para a piracema e, portanto, quando vários cardumes já se encontram formados e a quantidade de turistas e pescadores intensifica, exatamente, em razão das facilidades de captura do pescado.
Com os feriados prolongados (Criação de MS e Padroeira do Brasil), a fiscalização, que já era efetuada com bastante intensidade, inclusive, com vários pescadores presos foi aumentada nos rios, com uso de todo efetivo administrativo e deslocamento de efetivo de subunidades em que a região não possui tradição de pesca, para reforço nas áreas de pesca do Estado.
Os comandantes das 25 subunidades empregaram todo o efetivo no trabalho de fiscalização em suas respectivas áreas de atuação. Todo efetivo administrativo, que já foi reduzido para a operação Pré-piracema, foi utilizado na Padroeira do Brasil.
Resultados
A operação Padroeira do Brasil deste ano foi a mais tranquila, desde 2009. Além de, no início, as chuvas atrapalharem os pescadores, as pessoas que foram aos rios e que foram fiscalizadas pela PMA respeitaram a legislação. Apesar de ter dado prioridade à prevenção a fiscalização à pesca predatória e ao tráfico de papagaios, o destaque das autuações foi o desmatamento ilegal.
Durante a Operação houve redução de 78% no número de autuados, com relação a 2017. Foram autuadas 10 pessoas por infrações ambientais e 46 na Operação anterior. As infrações por pesca foram 93% inferiores a 2017. Foram três nesta e 44 na operação passada.
A quantidade de pescado apreendida foi 84% inferior (48 Kg) e no ano passado (300 Kg). As multas aplicadas por pesca ilegal foram de R$ 52.700,00 e de R$ 37.700.000,00 em 2017. Ressalta-se que o maior valor em multas foi devido às infrações por desmatamento que foram destaque e que têm multas mais altas à pesca.
Com relação aos petrechos ilegais houve um aumento na quantidade de redes de pesca apreendidas 33 contra 20 na Operação anterior e redução na quantidade de anzóis de galho 357 e 514, no ano passado. A fiscalização intensificada é fundamental para a retirada desses petrechos proibidos, com alto poder de dizimação de cardumes.
Com relação aos outros crimes e infrações ambientais foram cinco pessoas autuadas por desmatamento, uma por maus-tratos a um cachorro e uma por construção em área protegida por degradação de preservação permanente (APP), sendo as multas aplicadas de R$ 25.050,00 por essas infrações.
