No dia 14 de setembro, sexta-feira, às 20 horas, o Teatro Prosa do Sesc Horto recebe a atração nacional Metá Metá, que funde elementos da canção brasileira com a música africana, jazz e rock, uma abordagem inédita que vem chamando atenção da crítica. É a primeira vez que Juçara Marçal e Kiko Dinucci, considerados peças-chaves da nova vanguarda paulista, vêm à cidade. Os ingressos são gratuitos, mas é preciso chegar com pelo menos uma hora de antecedência para retirá-los e estão limitados à lotação do espaço, de 236 lugares.
No dia anterior ao show, 13, às 19h30, haverá no Sesc Cultura um bate-papo com os integrantes da banda: a vocalista Juçara Marçal, o guitarrista Kiko Dinucci e o saxofonista Thiago França. A lotação da sala de música, onde ocorrerá o encontro, é de 50 pessoas, por ordem de chegada.
Nova Cena – A banda, de São Paulo, tem 3 discos lançados e 2 EPs e se destaca pela aproximação da cultura afro-brasileira difundida pelos cultos afroreligiosos (candomblé) de influência yoruba, fon e bantu. “Metá Metá” em yoruba quer dizer “três ao mesmo tempo”.
Metá Metá é o centro de uma nova cena musical na cidade de São Paulo, na qual artistas de um mesmo núcleo, como Romulo Fróes, Rodrigo Campos e Passo Torto, trabalham de forma colaborativa. Esse núcleo criativo lançou em 5 anos cerca de 30 discos, além de colaborar para artistas como Tony Allen, Criolo, Tom Zé e Elza Soares.
O grupo passou por festivais como Roskilde, Transmusicales e Mawazine. Em seu terceiro álbum, MM3, Metá Metá apresenta um novo caminho, com fortes influências da África do Norte, de países como Marrocos, Etiópia, Niger e Mali.
