A principal categoria do automobilismo brasileiro começa a agitar Campo Grande a partir desta sexta-feira (17.8). A Stock Car realiza na capital sul-mato-grossense a sétima etapa da temporada 2018 no Autódromo Internacional Orlando Moura.
Os treinos livres começam hoje abrindo as atividades da Stock Car, que volta a Campo Grande depois de três anos. No sábado (18.8) ocorrerá a sessão classificatória para a definição da ordem de largada e no domingo (19.8) as duas corridas da etapa, com a primeira largando às 12h (horário de MS) enquanto que a segunda prova tem seu início previsto para às 13h05.
Na primeira posição do ranking geral do campeonato está o piloto Daniel Serra que acumula 165 pontos, em sequência está Marcos Gomes com 130. Max Wilson é o terceiro na tabela com (120), seguido por Felipe Fraga (117) e Rubens Barrichello com 115.
O ex-piloto de fórmula 1, Rubinho Barrichello desde 2013 vem se destacando na Stocar Car, vencedor da corrida do Milhão em Goiânia no dia (5.8) briga pelo topo do campeonato. Julio Campos, Cacá Bueno, Ricardo Zonta, Lucas di Grassi e Átila Abreu fecham os dez primeiros da classificação geral.
Das 12 rodadas da temporada 2018, ainda restam cinco. A grande final da Stock Car acontece no dia 9 de dezembro, em Interlagos, São Paulo.
A sétima etapa da temporada 2018 tem o apoio da Fundação de Desporto e Lazer de Mato Grosso do Sul (Fundesporte).
