Apostando em pinturas em diferentes técnicas, colagens e gravuras, o Museu de Arte Contemporânea (Marco), da Fundação de Cultura de Mato Grosso do Sul (FCMS) abre nesta sexta-feira (10.8), às 19h30, a Segunda Temporada de Exposições 2018 com as mostras:

  • TransAparente, de Ricardo Giuliani;
  • Acrílico Sobre Água, de Stefan Grol;
  • Enigmática – Identidade Artística, de Laura Monte Serrat;
  • Isto Não é Uma Cadeira, de Silvia Ruiz.

Em “TransAparente”, Ricardo Giuliani dialoga entre formas radiografadas existentes, desenhos e pinturas realizadas nos suportes de raios X. Há uma dualidade entre o que é a imagem e o que ela significa, já que o embate direto entre a vida e a morte traz para esta experiência artística um olhar contemplativo.

Ao apropriar-se das radiografias para uma prática artística, Giuliani preocupa-se em interferir nas imagens com linhas, formas, veladuras e raspagem de suporte. A relação convencional entre figura e fundo é subvertida através da colagem, a fim de gerar novas maneiras de integração dos elementos compositivos e arranjos espaciais na superfície. Enquadramentos não convencionais que resultam em desafio para o olhar.

Depois de passar grande parte de sua vida morando na Inglaterra, Stefan Grol teve a oportunidade de viver durante alguns anos na região de Nhecolândia, no Mato Grosso do Sul. Durante este período, sua paixão por esse mundo encantado foi acesa, e essa chama segue até hoje.

Em “Acrílico Sobre Água” o artista foca na planície e seu elemento essencial. Suas obras são cercadas de muitas plantas e os animais tem toda sua existência fundamentada ao redor dos rios, baias, salinas, corixos, lagoas e pequenos riachos. Para Grol, estas pinturas são um estudo da interação, aprendizagem sobre as reflexões hipnotizantes que a água pode criar, bem como das ondas e dos respingos provocados fauna e flora.

Laura Monte Serrat retrata em “Enigmática – Identidade Artística” um mundo com muitos elementos, ora em destaque, ora ocultos em meio ao exagero, à quantidade e à diversidade de estímulos. Em suas obras desenha com a máscara acrílica, colore manchando o papel com aquarela e, depois, diverte-se como uma criança olhando para o céu, buscando imagens entre nuvens.

Arte nascida no desenvolvimento de uma árvore genealógica e no convívio artístico com familiares e amigos, sua mostra é dividida em quatro blocos: Origem e Enigmas; Sobrenome Prometido – Arte Herdada; Quem Procura Acha; Releituras de Montserrats. E, segundo a própria artista, se quiser se divertir mais ao apreciar a exposição “Enigmática – Identidade Artística” leve uma lupa ao visitar a exposição.

Ser ou não ser. Eis o dilema entre a ideia e sua materialidade. Na mostra “Isto Não é Uma Cadeira”, Silvia Ruiz propõe ir além do signo “cadeira” e sua possível forma representada bidimensionalmente, colocando em jogo o movimento de representação da representação. A cadeira representada por artistas ao longo da história da arte é matéria-prima. Partindo das obras de Picasso, Andy Warhol, Joseph Kosuth, Salvador Dalí, Antoni Tàpies, Yayoi Kusama, Bruce Nauman, Farnese de Andrade, Nelson Leirner, Cildo Meireles, entre outros, a artista recria imagens-ícones.

A série iniciada em 2012 é desenvolvida com uso das técnicas de litografia, xilogravura, linóleo e chine-collé sobre papel. Com este recorte temático, Silvia Ruiz aborda desde a rústica cadeira de Van Gogh à inutilizável cadeira engordurada de Joseph Beuys. A representação da obra “One and three chairs” do artista Joseph Kosuth passa a ser uma quarta dimensão, a quarta cadeira, por assim dizer, desta obra ícone da arte conceitual, numa provocação frontal e metalinguística.

Silvia Ruiz pesquisa e recria o tema da cadeira com base em obras de artistas contemporâneos, realizadas originalmente como instalações, objetos e site-specific, apropriando-se desse vocabulário artístico múltiplo para formar seu próprio universo visual, num processo de catalogação, diálogo e versão através da gravura.
