O diretor da companhia Aeroméxico, Andrés Conesa, disse que por enquanto “não há relatos” de mortos no acidente de um dos seus aviões ao decolar do aeroporto de Durango, no norte do país. Porém, 12 pessoas se feriram gravemente. O voo 4231 da Aeroméxico, que fazia a rota entre Durango e Cidade do México, caiu ao decolar, deixando feridos a maioria dos seus 103 ocupantes – 99 passageiros e quatro tripulantes.

“Ainda bem que mesmo com este lamentável evento, não temos informações até este momento de mortes”, afirmou Conesa, que destacou que não houve mortes durante o acidente foi resultado da “ação oportuna de tripulantes e passageiros”.

No avião da Embraer, fabricado em 2008, viajavam 88 adultos e 11 crianças, entre elas, incluindo dois bebês com menos de 1 ano, além dos quatro tripulantes, dois pilotos e duas aeromoças. De acordo com a Aeroméxico, os parentes de todos já foram contactados.

Causas

O diretor afirmou que a Aeroméxico participa das investigações ao lado das autoridades para identificar as causas do acidente. Segundo ele, no momento a prioridade da companhia é atender os passageiros e tripulantes. De acordo com Conesa, há uma equipe da companhia aérea em Durango “concentrada no atendimento aos passageiros”.
Os feridos estão atendidos em sete hospitais de Durango e clínicas do Exército mexicano.

Conesa confirmou que ainda é “muito cedo” para apontar uma causa do acidente do avião e pediu que evitem especulações e espera o início das investigações das autoridades mexicanas.

A Secretaria de Comunicações e Transportes (SCT) revelou que uma Comissão de Investigação e Acidente de Acidentes de Aviação já foi integrada com representantes da Aviação Civil, das associações profissionais do setor e representantes da Embraer.
