Ferrovia que corta MS é incluída em PPI do governo federal

Os 1.973 quilômetros de malha ferroviária que cortam Mato Grosso do Sul de Leste a oeste – saindo do município paulista de Bauru e chegando a Corumbá – foram incluídos no Programa de Parcerias de Investimentos (PPI),  do governo federal. O trecho, pertencente à Rumo Malha Oeste,  integra o traçado da Ferrovia Transamericana, corredor de integração bioceânico a ser implantado pelos governos do Brasil e Bolívia.

A informação foi dada na segunda-feira (30), pelo secretário de Coordenação de Projetos do programa de PPI, Tarcísio Freitas, durante a Reunião Bilateral de Desenvolvimento Ferrovia Brasil-Bolívia, em Corumbá. “O governo federal compreende a dimensão do projeto decidiu incorporar a ferrovia no programa de PPI do nosso Plano Nacional de Logística. Isso agora dá um selo, uma efetivação ao projeto, que passa a ser prioridade nacional. Esse trecho, de concessão da Rumo, terá o seu contrato prorrogado e isso vai gerar novos investimentos”, comentou Tarcísio ao final da reunião em Corumbá.

Na avaliação do secretário Jaime Verruck, da Semagro (Secretaria de Estado de Meio Ambiente, Desenvolvimento Econômico, Produção e Agricultura Familiar), a inclusão do trecho sul-mato-grossense da Transamericana na PPI “foi a melhor notícia que poderíamos ter, pois nos dá boas perspectivas de médio e longo prazo. Nosso trabalho agora será o de atrair investidores, mas tendo a chancela do governo federal, com a PPI, é um atrativo de peso”.

Integração Brasil x Bolívia

A Reunião bilateral de Desenvolvimento Ferrovia Brasil-Bolívia ocorrida em Corumbá foi organizada pelo governo federal, por meio do Ministério das Relações Exteriores (MRE), em parceria com o governo da Bolívia e o apoio do Governo do Estado, por meio da Semagro e a Prefeitura Municipal de Corumbá.

Foram apresentados estudos já realizados sobre o projeto da Ferrovia Transamericana, que envolvem desde a viabilidade econômica das malhas viárias existentes, os regimes regulatórios do sistema de transporte de cada país, leis aduaneiras e infraestrutura de transbordo e intermodal existentes.

“Esse encontro foi fundamental para que as autoridades bolivianas e brasileiras tivessem um panorama comum sobre a fronteira do Brasil. Pudemos compreender melhor as operações de importação e exportação no local, conhecer os gargalos, peculiaridades aduaneiras e investimentos necessários para fomentar o desenvolvimento econômico e social da região. Junto com o ministro Parkinson e com ministros bolivianos , vimos o desembarque de ureia em Gravetal e as condicoes atuais do Posto Esdras e da Agesa. Tudo isso em preparação para a Reunião de Trabalho  sobre a Ferrovia Transamericana, realizada em Corumbá”, comentou o secretário Jaime Verruck, da Semagro.
