Confiança do consumidor brasileiro avança em julho, mas permanece em mínimas históricas, diz FGV

A confiança do consumidor brasileiro subiu em julho diante de maior otimismo quanto à percepção das condições atuais e das expectativas em relação aos meses seguintes, interrompendo três meses seguidos de queda, informou a Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) nesta terça-feira.

Após o avanço de 2,1 pontos em relação a junho, o Índice de Confiança do Consumidor (ICC) chegou a 84,2 pontos em julho, mas ainda permanece em mínimas, em termos históricos.

A maior contribuição com o avanço do ICC veio do indicador que mede a intenção de compra de bens duráveis, que avançou 4,5 pontos, para 82,1 pontos em julho. No entanto, a melhora ainda é fraca quando comparada com o recuo acumulado de 12,4 pontos nos três meses anteriores.

“Normalmente, após a ocorrência de choques como o de maio, a confiança dos agentes é afetada negativamente num primeiro momento e se recupera em seguida. Embora seja uma boa notícia, a recuperação apenas parcial de julho sugere que o ritmo lento da economia e do mercado de trabalho continuam pesando bastante nas avaliações do consumidor”, disse a coordenadora da Sondagem do Consumidor, Viviane Seda Bittencourt, em nota.

No mês, tanto o Índice de Situação Atual (ISA), quanto o Índice de Expectativas (IE) avançaram, subindo 2,3 e 1,9 pontos respectivamente. Apesar da melhora, o ISA registrou o segundo nível mais baixo do ano, a 74,14 pontos, enquanto o IE atingiu 91,9 pontos, após três meses de queda.

A confiança dos agentes econômicos vem recuando de forma generalizada no país, sobretudo após a greve dos caminhoneiros no final de maio, que abalou fortemente a economia e tem levado a sucessivas pioras nas projeções de crescimento para este ano.

Pesquisa Focus do Banco Central, que ouve uma centena de economistas todas as semanas, mostra que a estimativa de expansão do Produto Interno Bruto (PIB) do país neste ano estava em 1,50 por cento, depois de ter chegado a 3 por cento alguns meses antes.
