Ela saiu de Campo Grande para se dedicar ao cinema em São Paulo. Carol Araújo, comunicóloga e cineasta teve seu Documentário “Corpo Manifesto” selecionado para o London Feminist Film Festival.
O filme fala sobre mulheres, seus corpos e suas batalhas. O filme explora de maneira poética as dimensões simbólicas do corpo e sua representação, costurando imagens de uma performance da artista Nina Giovelli, com entrevistas de pensadoras e militantes feministas como Djamila Ribeiro, Margareth Rago, Marcia Tiburi, Laerte, Luiza Coppietters e Jéssica Ipólito.
O London Feminist Film Festival aborda questões feministas e encaram os filmes como uma importante ferramenta de ativismo e agente social de mudanças. O festival acontece de 16 a 19 de agosto.
“Corpo Manifesto” foi dirigido por Carol Araújo em parceria com Andara Filmes e está disponível na Plataforma VIDEOCAMP.
