Meirelles acredita que privatização das rodovias pode solucionar problemas do agronegócio
Para tentar suprir as demandas do agronegócio brasileiro, o pré-candidato à presidência Henrique Meirelles, do MDB, acredita que privatizar as rodovias pode resolver os problemas de escoamento da produção no Brasil. Em entrevista ao Canal Rural, nesta segunda-feira (16), o presidenciável afirmou que o alto custo do transporte para o produtor e para o consumidor brasileiro prejudica a vinda de investidores internacionais. Além disso, confia no potencial brasileiro.
“A boa notícia é que tem carga, tem demanda. E isso oferece grande oportunidade para investimento internacional. Isto é: investidores que verifiquem que tem demandas, ou seja, o Brasil produz, tem cargas a ser transportadas e tem consumo, portanto, existe sim retorno para investimento. Seja rodovia, seja ferrovia ou cabotagem e hidrovia também, e aí deve existir uma participação efetiva do governo como nas ferrovias. A rodovia pode, hoje, ser totalmente privatizada e há demanda e investidores para isso”, afirmou.
Segundo Meirelles outra demanda que preocupa os investidores internacionais é a falta de segurança nas políticas econômicas.
“A segurança da política econômica, a segurança do governo, de leis que serão mantidas, contratos que serão respeitados. Tudo isso é que vai fazer que os investimentos viessem para o Brasil e que vai fazer, de fato, com que a gente possa resolver a questão dos transportes, que é um dos grandes gargalos do agronegócio brasileiro”, disse.
Para o pré-candidato, o Brasil precisa continuar com as reformas para tentar consolidar um crescimento econômico do país.
“O Brasil precisa continuar com as reformas. E, garantir primeiro o que já foi feito, por exemplo, a reforma trabalhista, é importante. Alguns candidatos falam em desmontar a reforma trabalhista para poder fazer um pouco de demagogia, mas é importante porque a reforma trabalhista permitiu, por exemplo, a queda da inflação, que ano passado foi a mais baixa da história e já começa a ser resultado da reforma trabalhista, e os juros, que já caíram no banco central, nos bancos vai caindo mais devagar, mas é necessário manter com a reforma trabalhista”, explicou.
O presidenciável espera, também, discutir com os setores responsáveis a necessidade de uma reforma trabalhista específica para o setor agrícola, “mais adaptada aos negócios e às necessidades da cultura brasileira e da agropecuária”.
