Iagro prorroga vacinação contra aftosa e brucelose no Pantanal.

Campo Grande (MS) – Atendendo a pedido dos produtores rurais do Pantanal, onde ocorre uma das maiores enchentes da década, a Agência Estadual de Defesa Sanitária, Animal e Vegetal (Iagro) prorrogou a vacinação contra a febre aftosa até 30 de julho e contra a brucelose até 15 de agosto. A portaria nº 3.601, assinada pelo diretor-presidente, Luciano Chiochetta, foi publicada no Diário Oficial do Estado edição 9.684.

A medida é em caráter excepcional, considerando as dificuldades de manejo do gado no período de inundação, que obrigou os pantaneiros de Corumbá a movimentar para áreas altas, até agora, mais de 1 milhão de animais. O presidente do Sindicato Rural do município, Luciano Leite, estima que mais 300 mil serão retirados das regiões do Jacadigo e Nabileque, em julho. O rebanho de Corumbá é o maior do Estado, com dois milhões de cabeças.

“A prorrogação é uma forma de atendermos às normas da Iagro na parte sanitária, diante das dificuldades de reunir o gado com a chegada das águas nas áreas mais ao Sul, onde esperamos uma cheia forte do rio Paraguai associada com as inundações do rio Tucavaca (Bolívia)”, explica o dirigente ruralista. “Na realidade, a situação é geral. As áreas mais altas (Paiaguás e Nhecolândia), ainda concentram muita água e o produtor não consegue trabalhar o gado.”

A ampliação do calendário de vacinação no Pantanal (referente a etapa de maio), segundo a portaria da Iagro já em vigor – os produtores terão até 15 de agosto para o registro do rebanho vacinado -, atende pedidos da Federação de Agricultura e Pecuária (Famasul) e Sindicato Rural de Corumbá, com anuência da Superintendência Federal de Agricultura (SFA/MS), do Ministério da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento (Mapa).
